Affectionate and friendly, the Rose-Breasted Cockatoos have a reputation for being loving pets. They are sensitive birds, however, and require quite a bit of attention and interaction from their owners. Those interested in owning a Rose-Breasted Cockatoo should make sure that they have plenty of free time to spend with their new pet. Rose-Breasted Cockatoos are active birds and need plenty of exercise to maintain their physical health. Fresh fruit is a good source of nutrition for them as well. Nuts such as walnuts, almonds, and pecans can be used as a training treat and are very healthy for them.

Moluccan cockatoos are one of the largest white cockatoos. They average about 20 inches in length, from the beak, to the tip of their tail feathers. The Moluccan Cockatoo has a rosy-pink color, with the depth of the pinkness varying between individual birds. Sweet and affectionate are understatements, when it comes to describing the Moluccan. It’s a bird that loves, to be loved, and always wants nothing more than someone (a bird or person) to be with. Like most cockatoos, Moluccans are incredibly sensitive and need extra attention and appropriate affection. This species requires the commitment of time and experience, with larger birds.
